Early spring, summer, into late fall boating season in
Alaska is 4 months… any minor or major damage to your inflatable boat is
untimely, disappointing, and costly if it leads to something unsatisfactorily
less than seaworthy, potential fallibility, or trip cancellation expenses. It is a good idea trying to address any maintenance or repair issues before spring! Good to know ALASKA RAFT CONNECTION customer service, accoutabilty, timeliness, and professional quality is open year round.
The long winter months of seasonal down-time can be the perfect
opportunity to get your inflatable in to us for a visual/hands-on
inspection, comprehensive repair estimate, and professional repair or
customization job.
We are experienced statewide Alaska boaters routinely operating on wilderness rivers,
lakes, and seas through our statewide fully-guided tours in addition to outfitting and maintaining Alaska's
most up-to-date, best organized, fully-featured, Do-It-Yourself inflatable
rental fleet. ALASKA RAFT CONNECTION, LLC. completely understands the significance and value of
getting your boat back on water with minimal time loss while protecting
your investment at a fair price.

Please give us a call 907-250-2271 & 907-891-1093 or send
us an email. We will assist you on any inflatable repair or boat
accessorizing/custom needs. Please recognize that the most accurate
repair assessment is through a complete hands-on, attention to detail examination
at our repair facility. Thorough inspection at our shop includes identifying the
boat manufacturer, year of production, air retention, types of fabric, valve
leaks, seam leaks, pin-hole leaks, rips, tears, cuts, punctures, chambers,
baffles, fabric wear (like abrasions, UV damage, mildew/mold, dry-rotting, or delaminating),
warranty questions, as well as other maintenance issues such as transom refurbishing
or replacement. We will provide prompt, professional detailed quotes for any
repairs.
When choosing ALASKA RAFT CONNECTION, LLC. to professionally repair your inflatable, our general inspection fee is
waived. We are extremely thorough…
highly organized to properly manage/expedite your particular project saving you time
and money, without delays, or adding hidden costs. You can stay plugged-in to your repair status
by following your boat’s progress on our updating FACEBOOK PAGE.
NOTE: Estimates for more complex
repairs, such as inner chamber baffles and I-beams are difficult to see without making a more
revealing incision to the inflatable boat. 'Previously Painted' boats receiving our special Armor-Coatings typically see more preparation labor, while sanding atop an old sanded repair surface can result in minor nicks to base-cloth.

Super-rugged, 2-part Urethane Armor-Coatings on inflatable boats is our premiere repair Service. These extremely durable, flexible coatings are for
armoring boat fabrics, chafe protection, patch-free pin-hole repairs, tapeless seamwork, and beef up accessory instalation. Our
specialty urethane coating applications will craft enduring repairs, substantially shield
damages to factory fabric, bring many boats back to life, and significantly protect an investment adding considerable life-span
to your inflatable boat. We don't take any shortcuts... laying out the project (repair - accessory - customization), properly cleaning and preparing surfaces, applying and properly curing adhesives or primers, mixing 1:1 ratio Part A and Part B Flex-Tuff, in addition to designing custom pigments for that made to order color.
Transom refurbishing and replacement is another specialty inflatable boat repair service. While we can work with wood refurbishing or complete replacement... Installing Synthetic Fiberglass and Plastic transom replacements are stronger, much more water and weather proof, up preformance, and last the lifetime of the Sportboat. Yes - this is a major repair... but why not protect that outboard engine investment hanging from the back of your Achilles, Avon, or Zodiac for the lifetime of the boat. We also make and install sportboat thrust-boards and bow-boards. Newly offering creative seating modifications, custom raft or canoe motor mounts, and custom-design oar stand replacements.
Our Aluminum and Steel Rowing Frames can be made to order. Many choose the break-down Aluminum frames that go from light-weight, compact day-frame to multi-day expedition or fishing frames using compatible, easy to assemble components.
We go about these particular projects with an emphasis on:
1.) Project layout (repairs, customizations, or accessorizing)
2.) Quality Air Tooling
3.) Thorough Fabric Surface Cleaning and Preparation
4.) Attention to Detail and Sequencing
5.) Selecting and Combining proper adhesives, primers, pigments for coating applications
6.) Monitoring curing processes in a state of the art heated slab facility
7.) Responsible Safety Measures (ie. ventilation, fire suppression, multiple entry & exit, eye protection, familiarity w/ MSDS.)
It is critical to get the job done right from get go and the first time around!!!
